The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) is taking a significant step forward by initiating a new payment scheme, offering eligible beneficiaries a substantial disbursement of 10,500 PKR. This payment, which marks the beginning of the second semester for the current year, will commence from May 15th. Notably, some individuals may have already noticed a credit of 10,500 PKR in their accounts before this date. However, these funds remain non-withdrawable until after May 15th. Once the date passes, all eligible beneficiaries will have full access to withdraw the allocated amount conveniently from nearby agent shops.
Enhancing Accessibility: ATM Banking Updates
Efforts are underway to enhance the functionality of ATMs, facilitating easier access for beneficiaries to their funds. While updates regarding the status of ATM services are pending confirmation, measures are being taken to ensure smoother transactions for all.
Investing in Education: Benazir Taleemi Wazifa
In addition to the 10,500 PKR installment, families enrolled in the Benazir Education Scholarship program can anticipate further support. This year’s scholarship funds for youth will be disbursed in similar installments, aiding families in covering educational expenses effectively.
Streamlining Eligibility: Confirmation Process
In a positive development, families registered or under screening eight months ago are now deemed eligible for the Benazir program if their poverty rating is below 32. This confirmation ensures that payments are promptly transferred to their accounts, providing much-needed financial assistance.
Strengthening Support: Nigehbaan Card Program Update
A significant initiative by the Punjab government will benefit approximately 640,000 households. These families will now receive an additional boost before receiving Mufta Ata. Joining this cohort, they will receive 12,000 PKR every three months through the Nigehbaan card program. Moreover, families already enrolled in the Benazir Kafalat Program will also receive this additional allowance on top of the children’s stipend.
Ensuring Participation: Dynamic Survey for BISP
The Benazir Income Support Program has reintroduced its dynamic survey initiative, emphasizing the importance of prompt participation. Completion of the survey, based on a poverty rating of less than 32, opens doors to various support programs. However, failure to complete the survey by the June 30th deadline could lead to disqualification from accessing benefits. It’s crucial to note that no further surveys will be conducted for two years after this deadline, making timely completion essential for continued assistance.
